Joey Hagner is a dynamic Chief Growth Officer with over a 15 years of expertise working directly with Financial Advisors and Wealth Management Platforms. Currently serving as the Chief Growth Officer at GCG Advisory Partners, he has played a pivotal role in elevating the firm's assets under management, profitability and broadening the firms revenue streams. His proficiency in deal sourcing, structuring, negotiations, and managing due diligence has significantly contributed to the firm’s EBITDA growth and capital-raising efforts.

Since joining GCG in 2018 as Director of Business Development, Joey has been instrumental in driving the firm's growth through Financial Advisor M&A and recruiting. He oversees the firms M&A  and growth strategies while actively working to enhance the GCG brand within the Financial Advisor community. Additionally, he contributes to the Investment committee and Board of Directors meetings.

Joey's career began as a Financial Advisor with Merrill Lynch in New York, followed by a successful tenure as an External Wholesaler at Lord Abbett, where he expanded market share and built invaluable relationships across the south-east. With a BA from Monmouth University in New Jersey, he combines a strong background in communications and finance with exceptional relationship-building skills, establishing himself as a leader in the M&A landscape.

Outside of work, Joey is a devoted New York sports fan, often cheering for teams that struggle to win. Originally from the Jersey Shore, he cherishes spending warmer months by the beach or on a lake, enjoying the outdoors whenever possible. Today Joey lives in Charlotte, NC with his wife, daughter, his Great Dane and his old English Bulldog.
