Billy Ricketts

Financial Advisor

Billy, a Greensboro native, graduated in 1942 from the Women’s College of the University of North Carolina (now UNCG) with a degree in secretarial administration, what is now known as business administration. She went through a couple of jobs before realizing she had a different passion and went to the national financial hub, now known as Lincoln National. She later went on and started working for a New York stock Exchange firm and passed her NYSE exam. Billy holds her Series 1, Series PC, and Series 63 license.

Billy has been in the financial securities business for nearly 6o years – 52 of those as a registered trader. She was also one of the first female exchange traders in the state of North Carolina. Billy has the pleasure of being able to work side-by-side with her grandson, Clay, which at 10 years old had him in the office and teaching him her ways.

Turning 100 years old recently, Billy does not seem like she is slowing down. Every day she is at work contacting clients and working a 40-hour work week. When Billy is not advising clients on what stocks will grow and what ones will dwindle, she is tending to her yard that is full of azaleas.
